Can somebody post or direct me somewhere the decribes in detail the step by step of replacing an A2 with a Vltor tele?  Do I need a new buffer tube or what, I have no idea...

Thanks

If your AR is a Colt, you don't need to change the tube.

Thanks Stickman, my AR is a Colt 6731.  So how easy is it to install then?

TIA

Bullshit.  He is going from an A2 stock to a Vltor Telestock - you damn well need to change the receiver extension.

Chewy - the best manual for doing this procedure is the -23&P which you can buy from Fulton or Bushmaster or download for free from this site.  Click on 'Information' in the bar above, then Manuals&Downloads.  You want the '-23' Unit & Direct Support Maintenance Manual.  Chapter 3 covers removal of the A2 stock and installation of the telestock (step by step directions an 8th grader can follow complete with pictures).

Right on forest except I am only in 7th grade ...

But seriously, I will check it out.

Thanks.

Anytime - The manual is great.  You can troublshoot and repair 99% of any AR issues with it.  The layout is so simplistic and easy to use your kid can become an AR-15 armorer.

I have a copy in print and in electronic format (the print version is easier to use in the shop).
