Hi all.  I recently picked up a Bushmaster XM15-E2S.  I like the option of the shorty stock, but I wouldn't mind having either an A-2 stock or even a fixed telescoping version.  My question is this:
Can anyone tell me where I can find a good guide to swapping buttstocks out?  Or, would I be better off having someone, (gunsmith),  do it?  I can field strip it with my eyes closed, (no major feat, I know), but I have never had the need to remove a buttstock.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advnce for the info.  It's good to finally have my own AR

See assembly of lower under the "Information" section above. In the sub section "Guides".

Go to the Biggerhammer and download M16A2 Marine Corps Rifle Manual.

The Maryland site has good stuff too.

It's not hard.

Thanks much.  I figured it wasn't too difficult, but the last thing I wanted to do was try it without any knowledge and break something...I think I have done that once or twice in the past.  hinking.gif
