| i'm wanting to put a rock river upper on a DPMS lower i'm ordering tomorrow. i've heard that RRA makes their uppers a tight fit. will i have any problems assembling this combination? |

King, most of the time the problem is with the RRA lower, not the upper. The lowers are made to tighter tolerances. They will still work, you just need a little oil and patience. You should have no problem with the DPMS lower. You are getting a forged one I hope? DPMS sells both. Stay away from the cast lower..!!! |
of course. I stay away from most things that are cast. |

I did the reverse of what you're planning---RRA lower/DPMS upper------I had to slightly file the rear lug on the upper-----now she is very smooth----locks up very tight without forcing anything. The fit is better than ANY factory Bushmaster or Colt I've ever bought before. My first build and definitely my favorite AR of all those that I own/owned. |
