| If you purchase a kit from Maparts, model one sales or J & T, and the uppers are assembled (they are assembled right?) what tools do you need to assemble kit. Any opinions on which company builds the better kit? |

Can't speak for all of them, but I've ordered from J&T and their uppers are assembled and ready to drop on the lower. Tools to install the lower parts kit are pretty simple and are pretty much in any decent mechanics toolbox. Without repeating what others have written numerous times, you might pick up some tips by reading some back threads and looking through the tacked threads. Best tip I can offer is to have some masking tape handy for installing the bolt release pin so you don't scratch the lower. Do some research before assembling. And do not get in a hurry or start a build when you're tired. |
