Is it 8-36?

I bought an RRA midlength barrel from ADCO and the threads don't run deep enough to zero the rifle with a BUIS.

According to the sight FAQ on the Maryland AR15 Shooters Site, it's an 8-36:

Q: I have some movement in my front sight post - how can I fix it?

A: Courtesy of  Rick McDowell of Competition Specialties, NRA Life, USPSA Life, Master ( 105 E. Cass, PO Box 451, Osceola, Iowa 50213  Phone: (800)369-4481 /  (641)342-2011 )

Remove the front sight, drop in a 8-36 set screw. When you put your front sight back on, zero the rifle, then with an Allen wrench insert it up from underneath and tighten it up against the bottom of the front sight post.  Viola!  Absolutely no movement.

Somtimes it is better to drill down and out of the front sight screw hole and tap it all the way through.  Then you can run a longer set screw and it is easier to take in and out.
