Last I knew they were center drilled, undersized and had to be drilled to size and tapped. It was the only way ATF would approve them as long as the firecontrol and magwell areas were completed.

they dio have the reamed buffewrtube, but the buffer tube is undersize tapped, meaning the threads are not totally finished. You still have to pick up on those threads and final fine thread it.

so the threads have been started?   or its just a hole?   I was more worried about actually drilling the hole, cause it looks like it would be easy to drill it crooked.

yes the threads have been started so all u have to do is pick up on them and fine tap it to achieve the proper thread contour.

I got one infront of me,,,

halik,

What did you think of the quality on the KT lower?  & How much of a pain was it to finish the mag-release slot?  That looked a little tricky.

Thanks,
Chris

CDKayak,

THe quality of the KT receiver is top notch. The mag slot isn't very hard to complete. Drill press and dremel is all you need. Drill the hold for the mag latch screw (allready located), insert the mag latch and trace it onto the receiver. Then drill series of holes to lanong it and finish it off with dremel.
