Hello all, I am planing on building my first AR-15, I see so many brands of parts out there that is hard to choose without knowing what is best so I am turning to you guys for a little help.
I see receivers made of different materials titanium one of them it sounds cool but is it better than aluminum? or different treatments like Maxhard® from Olympic Arms not to mention receivers that are a little different here and there like the Socom Mfg. they make it sound better but are those receivers really better? It is confusing, Could you guys post what you think is the best receiver to buy (upper and lower), I am trying to go more for quality than price.
I wanted to put an adjustable trigger in this rifle, I had been very pleased with a Jewell trigger on my bolt rifle, is the quality the same for the AR-15 or should I look into another brand?
I want to put a 20"-24" bull barrel into this project, I know Krieger barrels are some of the best, is there other brands that I should look into?
There is so many options for the bolt, there is chrome plated ones, titanium ones, light ones, heavy ones, plain old ones, with or without forward assist, with key or without key. I get confused on this one it is weird enough that you can just drop almost any bolt into the receiver, I thought it had to be mated to the receiver somehow, Could you guys help me choose a quality bolt? Same goes for the firing system parts there is so much to choose from, does titanium parts make a difference? Also should I consider not having a forward assist? I thank you all in advance for all your help.

I'm no expert (to say the least) in building ARs or precision shooting (someone  once looked at one of my targets after seeing me shoot and said it was a nice "pattern") but I guess a quality barrel, that is free floated, with a good trigger are the components which will make the most difference v. the receiver, bolt/carrier etc.

Oly Arms have some good stuff out there, built my own cheap..... No chrome lined barrel is more accurate..... as for the forward asst. if its for target no or maybe not, but for defence yes.... Jams do happen..... My rifle is very accurate it depends on your scope and trigger pull, Leapold scope, cheek peice, bi-pod, great combo's.....
