Hey guys! Just took delivery of a YHM 3-piece modular float tube (barrel nut, jam nut & tube), and the instructions refer to a special tool for tightening the jam nut. Said tool was not supplied with the tube kit, and I haven't found any reference to it in my searches here. It's got flats on it, so it looks like a biga$$ adjustable wrench might work. Anyone know what the deal is? Am I correct that the barrel nut and jam nut go on, then the tube is screwed down as close as possible and indexed (it's a 4-rail type), then the jam nut is tightened against the tube? Thanks! |

You are correct on how the nut and tube are installed. As for the tool, if it's not possible to get a strap wrench on you might try getting your rails lined up and tight, then final tightening with a punch or screwdriver against the flats. Of course with something in between to protect the finish, that's how I had to install my first Cmore tube. Jason |
