I am about to start the build of my first ar-15. I was going to buy a Bushmaster xm-15 E2S complete lower. My question is There any upper i can't use. Like Is is ok to use an A1 upper or do i have to an A2?I want to do like a flat top 20" ish barrell. I have done alot of reading and i am still unsure. I have not bought the lower yet so i am open to suggestions. I appreacheat any and all info i can get from you very knowedgeable people here in this great fourm. I'm not totally new to guns I've built a Cetme but had a little help. I try to do alot of reading before i buy anything so i cant get the shaft. Thanks again for the help and sorry this is so long. Yes, there are uppers you CANT use. Colt. Some Colt uppers use a larger pivot pin than the hole in all other lowers but theirs. This can be worked around with aftermarket pins but why bother? If you are considering an upper built by Colt make sure to ask if its small hole before you buy it. |
