This is my first build and have decided to do the whole thing----upper and lower. I'm getting the Bushmaster semi-completed 20in barrel assembly. Anyway----if I wanted to free float------would I still have to remove the FSB if the barrel is not even on the upper rec. yet? Totally new at this----so don't have a clue-----yet. |

To free float your 20" you'll be removing the FSB... edited to add: I should be a bit clearer on that... If you're planning on a SIR type setup, the FSB stays put... one of the positives of the SIR. Most anything else, the FSB has to be removed to replace the barrel nut to add the new FF handguard... |
