I am going to be ordering a 20" Varmint upper from M&A when I get my tax refund.

Is this a good length, or should I get the 24"?

Also what about fluting and the Versa Pod?

Thanks Guys and Gals

I have been thinking about the same thing, from what I read the 20" barrels are yielding excellent accuracy so the 24" probably isn't needed, however it would give a bit more velocity.  I don't think the 20" needs to be fluted to reduce weight, it would be more important on the longer barrel, and I would go ahead and get the bipod while I was at it.

Same here!  If you can reach those people at M&A, please let me know.  I called and emailed, but no response.  I just wanted to know how much more to flute a 24" varmint.  Thanks!

M&A's catalog shows there is a $50 charge for a fluted barrel.

Email has become a burden for a lot of the smaller internet companies, one guy I am acquainted with says he gets between 500 and 1,000 emails a day, and he's totally unable to keep up with them, it would take several full time staffers to answer email, and that isn't possible for a lot of these small businesses.

I have called M&A twice in the last few months, got thru and was well served by them both times.

Well I called them(M&A) today.  They are great people over there.  I ordered a 20" Varmint, with Bolt & Handel installed.  Also having them install a sling mount fro a Harris Bi-Pod that i bought off a buddy.  I am having them send it Day air, so I cam have it to hot on Saturday.

Total was like 465.00.

I hope it all works out.
