I am trying to get my trigger and hammer to work per the assembly instructions found on this website.  When the hammer is pushed back it locks and when you pull the trigger the hammer "falls" forward.  The function test tells you to prease the trigger and push the hammer back, and the hammer will stay-mine does NOT.  If I manually push the disconnector I can get it to stays-but then I have to push the disconnector again (manually) to get it to release.
Am I missing something or do I have a problem?
My lower is a FAB-10 and lower parts kit came from American Spirit Arms (local gun show).

Are you pushing the hammer back far enough for the disconnector to snap onto the middle hammer hook?

Should be covered here;

I'm not sure if this will help but check it anyway. It gave me grief the first time I tried to install a trigger group. I'm not sure what type trigger you have, although this one is a JP, the same rule goes for a standard AR trigger.

The springs are on top of the trigger pin.  When I push the Hammer back it is very close to the Discon.  When pulling the trigger ALL the back, you can push the hammer and it will touch the discon.  You can see the discon pivot but the spring stops it from moving enough to allow the hammer to catch.  After playing with it this morning I realized the the hammer will catch if I don't push the trigger ALL the way back.  The trigger obviously breaks before it is fully depressed so maybe that part is OK?
Second issue which I assume is related, once you get the middle of the hammer to catch the discon and release teh trigger all is well and the hammer doesn't go forward.  But one you go to press pull the trigger the hammer doesn't release.  If I push down on the hammer or push on on the back of the discon, the middle hook will then disengage and everything starts to function again.
Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be complete.  I am trying to use common sense to figure this all out but since it is my first time all I can do is speculate what it is suppose to do.

Anyone interest please read my previous post and tell me if I figured this out.  After studying I think that it could be the spring on the trigger assembly.  It appears that it isn't pushing the trigger all the way back in the "neutral" when you release the trigger?

Any thoughts on that??

I do appreciate everyone's help, this board is AWESOME...

Sounds like you may have the disco spring in upside down and that the engagement surfaces on the middle hammer hook and disco nose are rough.

Is the selector installed while you're doing the checks?

I put the big end of the spring in first and the selecter is not in.

The selector acts as a overtravel stop on the trigger. Install the selector and recheck. As it is the trigger can rotate too far forwars and over runs the disconnector's range of motion.

Installing the selector prior to checking timing isn't in the assembly instructions?

Selector is in and works-but it didn't fix the timing problem with the trigger, hammer, and discon..??

I am still have the same problem that the hammer doesn't release from the discon when it is suppose to.
