I just got and fired for the first time a Rock River Arms rifle. It came with their excellent 2 stage NM trigger. I didn't know that my other AR trigger was so bad until I tried this new one!

My question is, is the RRA NM unit the best 2 stage unit out there, or is the jewel or timney or other just as good? This would be on a hunting gun, so adjustability down to 2 to 3 pound trigger pull is necessary.

Thanks for any advice

RRA 2 stage is about mid level perhaps a bit lower on the scale.  If you want the best try KAC or Jewell.

Edited to add: KAC drops to about 3.5 lbs which I find perfect.  Anything less and I would want a single stage trigger.

If your in the Houston are you can try the KAC trigger on my rifle.

The Jewell 2-stage on my CR6724 is set to about 2# total, (understand semi-auto triggers set this light are not recommended, but as this is a LR AR and shot mostly from the bench or bipod, I'm comfy with the way it's set) and while the RRA is nice (I own a NM RRA lower) it is not quite in the same league as the Jewell.

You can set it to even lower weights, reliably, it's a great 2-stage trigger once installed and broken-in properly, IMO.

This lower will be used with a couple of different uppers, so I can live with 3.5 pouinds. I know Georgia Precision sells the Jewell units. Who sells the KAC units? Do they sell direct or through dealers?

And Devl, yes I am in Houston. I work by Reliant stadium and live in Tomball.

I like the JP Adjustable trigger, it may not be as good as the Jewell triggers but it is excellent none the less.  I like the fact that it uses the standard AR hammer and disconnector.
