I picked up a couple of barrels from the EE board that don't have indexing pins installed. Is it difficult to install a pin in a barrel that's already drilled for it? Are they just tapped or pressed in? Would really be glad to hear from anyone with experience in performing this please.

Standard for index pin is .125 (1/8). Quickest-easiest is to use a 1/8" roll pin, tap it in, cut it off just above the ring, then finish with a file to match radius of the extensions' ring.

Hope the barrel extension is on.

I'm pretty sure the indexing pin hole is drilled at the same time as the gas port right? So the extension would have to be installed before drilling RIGHT!? I don't know why the pins weren't installed but the price seemed good and they were sold as unfired so I figured I'd risk it.
