| Are all A2 buttplates made of plastic or just my cheesy Colt? I already replaced the OEM trapdoor with one that has a real metal hinge then I got to lookin' close at the rest of the buttplate itself and it got me thinking maybe I should have replaced the whole durned thing. |
| Every A2 buttplate assy I've ever seen was plastic, with a metal trap door. The late A1 butts had plastic doors, as I recall, which can be replaced w/the metal door off the A2. Didn't know that Colt had gone back to the plastic doors. Oh well, guess that goes along w/plastic trigger guards and mag release buttons[;D] |
| Thanks. This is my third Colt. (I keep trying to replace the first one that was, of course the best made and best shooter) I bought it new last summer and I keep finding more things that disappoint. Plastic trapdoor and hinge, yes I replaced the mag release button too. If I keep going it's gonna turn into a Bushy. |
