Hey guys- just came off a 4 year stint in the Army, and now I'm looking at getting my own M4-type carbine.
I've been doing a lot of research, but I can't seem to find anything on the reliability or reputation Rock River Arms has.  They seem to have nearly all the same features as bigger companies like Bushmaster.  I don't care for B's upper's, and RRA's are closer to the Army's.  Can anyone give me some feedback on RRA and anything I should consider?

Thanks!

RRA has a pretty good reputation.

Very good fit and finish.  Some ways better than Bushmaster, some ways not.

They did appear to release some out of spec flattop uppers on our 2001 LEGP rifles.

They use 4140 barrel steel, bushmaster uses better 4150.  Chromelining is extra from RRA.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either.

Well on this site, Rock River has a very good reputation.  About the only thing bad that you usually hear is that they are so busy making and selling, that it may take a while to get what you want.

To get more research information, click on the 'SEARCH' button and search on 'RRA' in the AR15 board.  Lots and lots of topics.

Thanks...There are many more options out there than I expected.  I probably end up going with the RRA.  Thanks again guys.

I have handled BM's and Olys but have only owned (have been able to afford) 1 AR- 20" Varmit Bull. It is an RRA and I must say it is tight. Good finish, etc.....bash me if it is deserved but I am pleased. If bushmaster, colt or olympic would like to send a loaner rifle, email me for my address.

I didn't really care for the fact that you need to smack the upper with a rubber mallet to get it to mate with the lower.  Extremly tight fit.  Bah!  (As recommended by the top RRA retailer on this site).
