Has anyone built/finished an 80% lower. Is it as difficult as I think it is? Just curious... Seems like an adventure.

FWIW, I think it is funny that people on e-bay are spending as much on a 80% lower as you can buy one ready to go.

I seem to recall seeing a web site with the 80% lowers selling for like 20-40 bucks.

so, are the serial numbers already on these? and, do they have to go through a ffl? if not, maybe that is why so many people are paying big bucks for them.

They have no serial numbers and they are not required. No FFL, and no registration. Because blanks are sold as 0%, 20%, or 80%, they are not really "anything". It is legal to complete a blank for personal use, but not intentionally for sale, unless your are not allowed to own firearms or your state/local government prohibits them.(AR & AK's in Kalifornistan)

DSA is selling incomplete forged lowers for $25, but they don't say 80% complete(or 20% or 0%) I emailed them, but does anyone know offhand?
