Are Colt 9mm lower receiver internals the same as the 223s? What I mean is can you put a 223 upper on a 9mm lower and never miss a beat or do I have to change the internals first. Thanks |

I cannot speak to Colt specifically and mine is just the opposite of what you are asking but... I put the comlete (ie: bolt and carrier for the 9mm) 9mm upper on my RRA 5.56 lower and it rocks and rolls (semi auto, of course....). I have heard that some will do something with the hammer, but mine works like a champ. Also, I had a preban 7.62x39 marked Colt lower and used it as it was with a 5.56 upper with absolutely no problems. |
