I picked up one of those nifty tritium sight assemblies from Trijicon. It consists of a front sight post with a tritium vial, and the standard rear A2 L-shaped sight aperture with two vials on each side of the large opening.

Replacing the front sight post was no problem.

I need to replace the rear aperture. It looks like the windage knob has a shaft that holds the L-shaped aperture in place, but it doesn't unscrew.

1. What's the magic incantation for removing this so I can replace the apeture?

2. What tiny, eye-strain parts are going to fly all over the shag carpet when I do this, and what can I do to prevent that?
