I see SPR mentioned here a few times.  Can someone tell me what it means?  Then I'll know if I need one!

SPR is short for "Special Purpose Rifle" which is a term that many manufacturers use today in lieu of the "politicaly incorrect" term "Sniper Rifle".

"SPR", when used to describe a weapon in the AR15 family of rifles, would typically be a "match-grade" rifle with a heavy barrel, muzzle-break, flat-top upper, free-float handguard, two-stage "match" trigger, and would normaly be fitted with a high-dollar "sniper" type Mil-Dot scope.
