I have seen several from GG&G and others. I want to get one for my are to forward mount an eotech. I want top and bottom rails, but darn it if these things aren't expensive. Does anyone know where to get good deals on these rail handguards? Are there other systems besides GG&G?

If you want a system that's stable enough to support optics, you'll need a rail system that free-floats the barrel. The least expensive of these is the Olympic Arms FIRSH, which runs about $99 carbine-length or $139 full-length. Provides rails at 3, 6, 9 and 12:00. Next up would be the DPMS system and the C-More Quad Rail at $140-200. Then you jump to the Knight's and ARMS systems, which are the ones actually in use with the US military and therefore the most in-demand and expensive at $275-400.

I have a DPMS on my M4 right now, and it's done just fine by me!
