Looking at purchasing the surefire scout but confused on what the different models offer.
The m600,612,622 all provide the same lumens. Based off the light description. So I'm wondering what the difference is.

the devil is in the details....they are usually referring to mounting systems with the other codes after the 6XX. Search for their 2017 catalog and you will be able to see the differences.

Just curious where are you seeing scout lights with other numbers than M300 or M600? I know they have the M600-AA light, which takes  "AA" instead of CR123 batteries. But no M612 or anything like that, that is scout type (I know they have similar model numbers for handguards, but we're talking scout lights).

If you google it you will find that they are the regular lights with different mounts - like the SF RM45 mount.
