[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Constant on remote switch?

I have an application where I need constant on, from a remote switch. Are there any alternatives to the surefire sr07? And, presuming I'm OK with cutting / splicing, will the sr07, or any alternatives you guys know of, work with non-surefire lights?

I've got an 18" rail system that I want to mount a light near the muzzle of, but the switch needs to be all the way at the other end of the rail. Kind of an atypical set up. Ideas?

Streamlight's RM-1 & RM-2 WML's come w/a momentary/constant-on remote switch for appx $100/ea.
