Hey guys. I have a pistol and a rifle that are somewhat of twins. I have a g2x tactical for each ar-15 and I would like it mounted in the position that i'm holding it in the photo. My question to you guys is how exactly would you do it if you were in my position? Trying to keep it as close to the handguard as possible.

gear sector makes a ring mount that mounts to the 12'o clock rail and holds the light slightly offset

A very thin coat of vaseline solves that problem.
