Alright, so i started my AR build and im looking for some opinions on flashlights
The build is going to be a M16a4 style with the a2 handguards and so i was thinking IWC Mount-n-Slot Now what kind of torch should i use on my gun? The only requirements im asking for are: -Remote switch compatible -Two or less modes (High-low-strobe) -Somewhat waterproof/resistant -AA or cr123a -Preferably under $70 Just sort of need some reviews and opinions from you guys on what lights are Go or No-Go |
| G2X tactical is the best value but not (as far as I am aware) compatible with the XM107 tailcap. The 6PX might be compatible, I think. Its slightly more $$$ but has the same output. You could also get an older 6P and do a 400lumen dropin. The 6P's pop up here and there for under $50 and you can get a drop-in on the cheap from china for around $10-15. You could also get a M951 with the tapeswitch compatible cap, then throw in a drop in and be gtg. But those things are heavy and you would probably be up over your $70 budget. I have all of these lights except the 6PX and all of them are just fine for what you want. The only hitch will be the remote switch compatibility. |

Quoted:
The G2X tactical will work with the XM07. Stay away from any drop in that is made in China. Stick with Malkoff Devices for drop ins. +1. The cheap drop ins will rattle themselves loose from recoil. Could happen the first time you use it, could be the 100th. |

I just picked up one of these for my dissipator.
https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_Compact_Weapon_Light_700_Lumen_p/pawl-3fdegenii.htm They also sell them in black. https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_Compact_Weapon_Light_700_Lumens_p/pawl-3bkgenii.htm They get great reviews. They're built as true weapon lights with fully captured batteries and shock proofing. Primary Arms sells tape switches for them if you want one, since I see you mentioned it in your criteria. I own primarily Surefires for everything else, but I've watched these for a long time and I think they'll stand up to everything I intend to put it through so I decided to pick one up. |
