| Not sure about mounting to your guard, but i highly recommend Streamlight. They have a wide variety, whether its there dedicated weapon mounted lights with integrated picatinny attachment or a more standard type that requires a mounting ring. You also have the options of standard light output, high output closer quarter flood, or long range target id that is still great if you need to check the house. I went with the last, which is the model TLR-1 HP, and its been great. |

ELZETTA is the best light that I have ever used. To much $$$ pick up a good used Surefire 6P off Ebay or the EE and replace the lamp with a Malkoff lamp, this is the same lamp ELZETTA uses. For a good mount I love the ElZetta 1500, the 6 o'clock position is perfect for me, activation is so simple and the slightest movement is needed. If you really want it mounted to your hand guard you will need a short section of rail, either aluminum or polymer the choice is yours. I set my light a couple inches back from the muzzle just to keep it cleaner. |
| I gots one of these on the Wifle. With a G2X Tactical. Awesome set up. |

With the light above the barrel, the shadow of the barrel will be down lown probably mostly on the ground. Having the light switch convenient and easy to activate is more important than pushing the light out towards the muzzle.
Another option for a light mount, there are a number of rails and direct attach light mounts that attach to the front sight. |
| I had a m6 streamlight mounted on the magpul scout mount. It worked well enough. I have changed to a short rail mounted into the slot, a v tac light mount and a streamlight polytac HP .( needed to get the offset for the light). Both options I used worked well enough. |

Yes, I just purchased the exact same mount and a Surefire G2X Tactical. I am waiting on them to arrive. I think the Arson Machine Company MOE light mount looks to be a very well made part and very simple. |
