Will a Surefire E2D LED Defender Ultra hold up to 5.56 on an AR15? I'm assuming so, since it has a strike bezel?

Strike bezel doesn't matter as it needs a spring on the head. The VTAC L4 is what you want if the E2D doesn't have the spring.
