I have an older visible OTAL and need a pressure switch, anybody know a source other than LDI?
Last time I checked they wanted $85 for a basic switch that was hard to press and looks like the old Surefire switch pads. These are always the weakest link and I plan on using it so I dont want be replacing eighty-five dollar switches too often. Also the newer Gen lasers have a bayonet style plug while this one has the older twin-pin with collar style. I havent seen anything but it would be great if someone had made an adapter for these so the newer (and easier to find) switches could be used. Thanks in advance for any input. |
| As you mentioned the switches are the weakest link in the system for reliability. For that reason, I'd only go with LDI. You can spend less for more quantity of switches, but how much is the reliability worth to you. I think going cheap here is not going to be less expensive overall or perform well. |

TNVC sells them.
Pressure switches aren't cheap, and if they are, they're a NO-GO IMHO http://tnvc.com/shop/ldi-right-angle-plug/ |

Not to add to your anxiety, but IIRC, LDI used to use a different plug pattern than they do now, which is an Insight pattern plug.
I would check with LDI to verify and check if there's a way to tell beyond just trying it which plug you're using. If it's an Insight pattern plug, you could always choose one of the many cheap Insight remote switches as well. ~Augee |

Another thing I noticed is that the visible and IR laser seem to be mirrored images of each other. |
