After researching the question 'will a XM07 work with a P2X Fury', I came to the conclusion that people believed it did.
I purchased a XM07 from Amazon, but for the first time ever I followed their link to 'Warehouse deals'...the Like New 'used' option was 30% less so I jumped on it. It just arrived and I can't make it turn on the Fury. It tightens up nicely and the XM07 clicks nicely, just no light. Any tips I might be overlooking? Took me awhile to figure out the IR portion of my other light, so I might be dumb. Could it be the XM07? Seems pretty straight forward... Thanks. |

Get a multimeter with a continuity tester, and click the tailcap "on". Then touch the leads to the spring, and the inner threads of the tailcap and see if there is continuity. Let us know... |

Thanks. Great idea. Forgot to mention...my Surefire LX2, though it doesn't fit, will toggle the light on and off if I hold XM07 on it. So it 'works'. Spring problem? Hmm, that is interesting. Could be a spring issue - do you have a different Surefire to try the XM on? Like a 6P, 9P, Z2, C2, etc? |

I would return and get a new one, and if that does not work then run with without a switch or try the tricks the other guys are talking about.

Quoted: Quoted: Just pull it? Or any, less potentially damaging suggestions? I would send it back to Surefire before I'd risk yanking the spring out on accident. Typing too fast... ![]() Yeah, this is better advice than mine. What I was trying to get at is that the spring is probably too short for the switch to close the circuit.

Ok..don't tell anyone, but I grabbed some needle-nosed and pulled the tail cap off an older M-something light I had.
Tugged the spring just abit, not enough to feel any loss of tension or shape. Screwed it into the Fury....boing!! Light pops on. I definitely did some no-nos here, but how bad did I wreck stuff? Didn't try the new XM, so can return still...or try to duplicate the result. What says the hive? |

Quoted: I just spoke to Surefire and they said 'return it, it won't fit on 6PX nor P2X'. So, that's what I am doing. Thanks for the advice guys. Surefire says it wont work, but this thread says the XM switch does work. |
