This weekend I got to use a friends CREE UniqueFire HS-802 light on my SASS. I was amazed at how well it lit up the night and how far I could see clearly through the scope with the light on. Unfortunately I had to give it back after the hunt.

Here's the question: I am a Made in USA Fanatic. The only thing I can find on the "CREE" brand is that there is no formal company website. I'm a little OCD with my money and I like to do some company research before I pay anything, especially if it's a Chinese website that I might not ever hear from again.

Do any of you guys know about these lights? Have there been any long term tests done on them? Is there something out there that is better for hog hunting at night? (Lights, not NVS or FLIR)

CREE just makes the LED parts not the entire light assemblies

So is the light a Uniquefire with a CREE LED?

The body had CREE on one flat of the handle, and UniqueFire HS 802 on the other...confused.

In any case, the light was great out to about 200 yards, as far as I could see that night. Anything else out there that will touch that 200-300 yard mark? Looking for green or red light to use with a scope.

simple google search, it looks like UniqueFire is the brand and they are stating that they use CREE LED components.
