Can anyone beat the $300 price on a Surefire Scout M600C? Just price shopping to see the best deal on one. Or if you know of an online store with current promo code.

Thanks in advance.

EE is going to be your best bet... Surefire has pretty strict MAP pricing.

If you don't mind used you can get a much better price on the EE. I see them go for around $200 or less most of the time.

Yeah, I've been searching but they typically go quick.

Check with Kevin from Brightflashlights over in the industry section, if you don't need both switches he might be able to beat that price.

Thanks for the help. So far the cheapest has been LApolicegear.com with the use of a promo code.

The problem with the cheaper ones is that they usually have 120-lumen KX2C heads. The only way to tell the difference, according to SF Customer Service, is the packaging.

That said, for new you will be hard pressed to find much under $300. I think I saw a black one on eBay for $280 BIN yesterday. I usually go with B&H Photo Video: $297 with free UPS, usually in stock, and both colors. That's where I will be getting my tan one for my SCAR.

Just my $.02. Used is an option, just know that there's a difference in KX2C heads. Most sellers assert that KX2C means 200 lumens and I'm operating under the belief that most buyers believe the same.

Kevin is the man on new Surefire stuff.  Great prices and "can't be beat" customer service.

I have owned and had measured in an IS, two "120l" kx2c heads. They measured around 185-190 otf lumens. I now have a 200 lumen rated kx2c, but no longer the others. If it is brighter, its not by much at all. Both narrowly out throw my malkoff m60 and have better beam profiles.

That's not really the case, there were really never much of a difference between the older 120 lumens and newer 200 lumens KX2C heads. Surefire supposedly went with a slightly modified LED for the newer KX2C, but the lumen output remained basically the same. What changed was HOW they measured lumen output. Surefire has long under rated their lights and how they measured them and the new method was strictly a marketing issue. They figure if everyone else was doing it a certain way and consumers readily accept it than they might as well do it like everyone else and measured the output that way.

That may very well be the case. Either way, there was a change and it affected how they marketed their lights (e.g., packaging). I simply wanted to make that point. I have seen no actual evidence that they are actually the same other than what's self-reported on the Interwebz. I don't discount the reported tests of lumen output (e.g., see above), and SureFire isn't exactly making public statements about it. I called SF Customer Service about a year ago to ask about it and all they could tell me is to go by the packaging.
