Has anyone used a Glare Mout

Yes. It's not an aiming laser. It's a signalling device. The beam doesn't stay focused in a tight dot. It grows in diameter with distance.

Also, your title says mount. If you're asking it's the same Larue mount as the M951 Surefire light.

Because you want to go to jail for possessing a stolen DoD Class IIIB 125mW laser?  These were NOT sold to the public.

Besides, the dot is about 4 feet across at 100 yards.  It's a warning dazzler, not an aiming laser.

ETA: How they work & differ from an aiming laser

I know it's a warning laser and not an aiming laser.

I thought they sold these to non dod customers like Local Leo.

The possession of tone property part is more of a concern.

No they don't. And if they were loaned out through DMRO, they would have to be turned back in. The agency can not dispose of them.

Well that is intersting.

Can't really see a use for one anyway in he civilian world.

There were several online retailers in the 2007 timeframe that were willing to sell these lasers to individuals, though at a high price. There are also several that have made it "into the wild" from army surplus. I've seen them in surplus shops, almost bought one. I won't speculate about the legality of these units, but they're mostly in the same ballpark as peq2's.

This means that at worst case, it will get seized and if you were involved in taking it from uncle sugar, investigated. If you have a receipt, and you cooperate, they'll still seize it but focus their investigation on how the unit first walked. Best case, you keep it to play with, but cannot expect any sort of warranty or repairs, BE Meyers will not return the unit if you send it in.
