Has anyone tried the Laser Genetics ND3 "Laser Designator"?  I don't have much experience with green lasers, but I know that the beam of red lasers are not visible unless there is smoke/fog/etc. between the laser source and the target even in low-light conditions.  I've seen green lasers at gun shows and whatnot, but never had the opportunity to try one out in low-light.

The Laser Genetics website has videos and whatnot, but the laser beams appear to be "simulated".  Does diffusing the laser beam across a wider area of focus make the beam itself visible, or will it only be seen at the source and target like a conventional laser?

if it is kind of dark outside with some dust or particles in the air you can see the beam the whole way out.  ive seen mine go out at least several hundred yards and the beam was visible the whole way.
