So, I bought a surefire E2D Defender and have it on a Haley mount at the moment. I would like to hook it up to a pressure switch and run it at 12 oclock behind my BUIS like most people do. I see that you can buy an end cap made for the scout lights individually that will accommodate a pressure switch. The surefire site says that this end cap is made specifically for the scout lights, but being as the scout lights and the E-series are all 1.00" diameter, would it still work on the E series?

Sure, I could have just gotten the scout light, but the price tag was too high for me, and I also like that the defender puts out 200 lumens vice the scout's 110. Any help would be appreciated.

A scout light is an E-series light with an integral weapon mount.

An E-series light is a handheld scout with a pocket clip.

The end cap will fit but I'm not positive that it will function as a weapon light since the E-series has two-stage lighting. The Surefire VTAC series which use the single stage Scout heads will work much better.
