I have a surefure G2 id like to mount but I dont want to spend a ton of money on a setup for it. VLTOR has their G-series mount for $35-40 shipped at a few places.

Any other recommendations or reviews on the VLTOR?

EDIT: just realized I should have posted this in the lights and lasers section, sorry

This is all you really need.  I use one of these and so does many of my friends.  Works great.

GG&G

I have their 1 inch mount.  It's very solid.

The standard cheap Weaver 1" rings work with the 6P,G2

Same ring GGG is selling for $17

I would buy a QD ring like the Vltor you are asking about.

I use an Olight M20 in a MAKO Group PLS 1" With just that done because the light is a little small in diameter. The mount releases without tools from the rail via spring loaded bar and I can still use it in hand with the mount on it.

If you need to the part that sticks out can be trimmed down. I did that to keep the Roger's Technique ring on the M20

If Light diameter is too small I use SyrVet Cohesive (tacky and sticks to itself) bandage to make it fit in larger outlet. This also makes it so it stays put in the mount.

Any cheap one will fill your need but I would check out an offset mount before you bought one.  I love my LT offset mount, pushing it with my thumb is extremely easy.  Obvisouly, you don't want to spend as much money as that but there are cheaper alternatives out there.

I'd say that when it comes to bang for the buck and features that VLTOR is pretty good w/ the QD setup.

If you're not worried about the QD feature, the VTAC is a great light mount because it offsets the light to allow for more ergonomic switching of the light.
