Hey everyone, I want the Surefire M910A for my AR15.  It has optional red, blue, or white navigation lights.  I don't care about interference with night vision light.  Are there any advantages to the blue or red wavelength?  If not, I'll probably lean towards white.

Thanks

Red helps preserve night adapted vision.

Blue shows blood better then red.

Why do you need a nav light if you have night vision?  Doesn't that defeat the purpose of night vision?

I've found blue lights to be less noticeable to other people.

For example, when I need to move around the bedroom at night, I use a Inova X5 in blue because it doesn't wake up the wife.

I know it's not very tactical, but when I had a red version, it would be much more noticeable when I was using it.

Yeah, the blood trail thing is true too.  I don't think that is really applicable to much in this case though.  That is good for hunters, etc.

FWIW, I think nav lights are better head mounted.  Get a decent head-mounted or helmet mounted lamp.

My M900V has white nav lights and I really like it. It almost looks "smokey".
