I am looking at picking up a M600C scout light and wanted to know for sure how to know if it is 200 lumen. The guy says the packaging says 120L but I have heard of the 200 heads being in "old packaging".

The 200-lumen heads are KX2C. I wonder if they upgraded these heads because I got one that has the KX2C head but the package and instruction manual both say 120 lumens.

Go figure.

Depending on your use, the 120 may be okay. I think your best bet is to try and get one with the KX2C head.

It might be the incandescent head.

The LU60A is the incandescent head. I just wonder if there are two versions of the KX2C, one older the other "upgraded."

Surefire says:

"The KX2C LED head generates 200 lumens of blinding, tactical-level white light. Used on the current Scout Light® WeaponLight, the KX2C can replace the older 100-lumen KL4 head."

Mine is the KL4.
