I have a Moe handguard with a piece of rail with a carbine Magpul AFG mounted. I am looking first for a light to mount on the handguard . It's use will be for a home defense.  I would like to spend less than $150.00. I would like a rear button switch no tape switches. Now what mount will work with the Magpul. I reckon I need another piece of rail to start.  Thanks

Thanks guys. What brand is the G2? I looked on Brightlights site and did not see the G2.

surefire

you may also want to look into the Streamlight TLR-1

Personally I am running Surefire G2L's in different mounts on each gun.

It has a switch not a "button", but i use a TLR1 with a 2" Ergo aluminum panel on my MOE. Works very well.

I ran a G2L with a Cree Q5 LED upgrade from Tactical Night Vision for $110.00 and a VTac mount.
Plenty bright.

+1 for the TLR-1....I have it on the MOE with the 2.5" MOE rail section mounted on the right side....activate it with my weak hand index finger.  Works awesome

Watch the EE. Like here. And over here. Good deals are to be had if you check once and a while.

I use a M951XM 07 but a tail clicky could be used like my Surefire.

+100  Exact same set up as me.  Streamlight is awesome, bright, and can be found for less than 100 bucks.  Plus the magpul moe mount, and your entire set up is less than 115.

This is what I run and like it because the flashlight is in line with the barrel and you have no blind zones while coming around corners or objects
