I recently purchased a X300 to put on my Glock 19. I shot it last weekend and then went to give it a good cleaning last night and have been unable to get the lens of the X300 clean. It seems as though it is cloudy and I can't clear it up. Is this common? I did originally wipe it off with a dry cloth after shooting to remove most of the carbon but didn't thoroughly clean it.

It also seems as though the top of the lamp housing is textured and rough. Is this common?

I ran about 200 rounds over the course of an hour and a half. Didn't run the gun hard at all.

The lenses of the Insight M2 UTL taclights mounted on my HK USP pistols get completely filthy from muzzle blast. The gentle abrasive properties of toothpaste is just enough to get the lenses crystal clear

Put a piece of masking top over the lens before you shoot.  Peal it off when you're done - instant clean up.

If I remember correctly, the manual for the Insight UTL says to put a drop of oil/lube on the glass before shooting so it's easier to clean after a range trip.

+1
It actually says it on the manual to use a #2 pencil eraser. I had to learn the hard way until I actually read it for myself. Works like a charm.
