I think this is going to be my choice light. I need to know how many hours of light I have before I run out of light. Also, is there a light with similar output which gives better runtime, without a huge weight/size gain?

Are you talking about a Q5 Cree lamp? TNVC site claims 2-3 hours@220 usable lumins. I have one inbound for a 6P wich is allready bright at 60 lumins. I personnaly don't need more light than that as I don't direct commercial airline traffic and don't intend on burning hair off of deer at 300 yards |

The Q5 is fine too! It's for the 9P too thats why I asked if thats what you meant by LED conversion |
