| I'm going to be mounting a Fenix TK11 to my AR. I don't use a VG or AFG. Therefore I'm looking at mounting it on the left side of the rail (I'm right handed), but can't decide just yet whether I want to go with an offset or inline mount (will be going LaRue). Interested in opinions and experiences from those who've tried both. |

The Gear Sector offset mount is very streamlined and keeps the light tucked in tight so as not to snag. Offset upwards is easier to use with a high grip, thumb forward and you should be able to reach it left hand as well. No way to reach an inline left hand on left side.

| If you aren't using a VFG or AFG, then I would go with the inline, as long as you don't have a short carbine length rail. If you have a short rail, you should go with a front sight mount if you have a fixed A2 style front sight. Offset mounts are meant to be used with VFGs to allow you to use your thumb of your non-dominant hand when using the grip. It would raise it up a little out of your reach with an offset if you are running no grip. |
