just bought the vertical grip surefire light. it has been painted and i want to remove it. I would like the light to look like factory. what type of cleaner can i use without harming the material on the light?

it depends on what kind of paint was used. some use carb cleaner to remove paint.

the seller said it has "bowflage paint" on it

I used GOO GONE spray on mine that had tan krylon on it. It didnt hurt the light at ll but did turn some of the plastic to a dark grey versus the black that it was

I would just try using mineral spirits first.

There's a Bowflage remover spray. Water works, too, actually.

water? all its doing is cleaning it for me
