I just got home from a rifle match only to find that my one month old Cree R2 conversion bulb is dead. The bulb was installed into a G2 and attached to my AR15 with an offset DD mount. This bulb has been attached to the rifle for less than 200 rounds.
Anyone else experience any early failures with the Cree R2? Is the Surefire P60 bulb more sturdy? |

We have a VERY good success rate with our TNVC G2 Drop Ins. We have sold a tad amount around here, Vic |

Recoil probably shook the spot-soldering loose. I have a cheap R2 that is stupid bright, but the thing will act up and it is not even mounted. Although there is no filiment to break in an LED, cheapo chinese stuff meant for airsoft is not the answer, but rather a great way to see what LED can do in terms of output or runtime.
Skip the really cheap LEDs and get a Malkoff or TNVC. Both overbuilt from what I have seen. Designed for harsher conditions than you would subject it too. Not really that expensive either considering the rate you would go through P60 or cheap R2s. |

Pretty hard to get Red China on the phone and hold the accountable imo |
