| I have an X300 and the XT07 cap and tapeswitch for it. It unplugs like the other tapeswitches. Will this work in the XM07? I like how the tapeswitch for the x300 attaches to the rail and was wondering if I could use this with the XM07 push button/tapeswitch combo instead of the tapeswitch that comes with it. Anybody ever try this? |

Yes, the XM, XT and UE are the three current main solutions that allow the STxx and SRxx remote switch cables to plug in using the same plug and socket system.
The XM is for Millennium Series and standard bodies, the XT is for the X200/X300/X400 Series, and the UE is for the ScoutLight or E-Series. The STxx is Switch, Tape [pressure switch] The SRxx is Switch, Rail[-grabbing combined tape pressure switch and constant-on Clickie switch] The XMxx and UExx come with the STxx The XTxx comes with the SRxx xx is the length of the remote cable in whole inches. Usually 07 I believe. |

So with my SR switch that I have for the X300 I can be used for the classic XM tailcaps and I can still use the instant on and the clickie on? Are you the same size15 from candlepower? Anywhere I can just get the tailcap switch? Yes, the SR remote switch will plug into the XM TailCap and the SR remote switch momentary tape switch and push button pressure constant-on (Click) switch both operate the light. Yes, I am the same Size15's from CPF, for my sins. You can order just the XM TailCap, without any remote switch by requesting the "XM00" from any SureFire Dealer (including calling SureFire themselves). I'm sure there are AR15.com supporting SureFire Dealers happy to assist you in sourcing an XM00. You may find that getting an XM07 (or whatever) is not that much more expensive though. |

In this case I suggest that people listen to this guy. He knows a 6P from a 9P My question is, with a VFG, wouldn't it be more covenient to use the controls on the X300 vs. using the rail-mount pad? Or are people using the rail-mount pad running the VFG as a "hand-stop" basically? |

Or are people using the rail-mount pad running the VFG as a "hand-stop" basically? I have an SR switch just above my VFG at the 9 o'clock position. Using a thumb up hold on the VFG puts my thumb right next to the SR pressure switch. For me, it's much easier to activate than the standard tape switch attached to the VFG. At the same time it's not so easy that I accidentally discharge the light. |
