Does anyone here have experience with this light? Seems like a solid light for a decent price. LED, 80 lumens and impressive 11 hour run time.
Would this make a good light to mount to an AR?? Surefire 6P LED Defender |

I'm using the G2 LED. Same LED, but the Nitrolon body. Still extreely durable, but cheaper, and much lighter than on aluminum 6P.
It doesn't have the throw of an incandescent bulb though, so it's not really a long range light. Great for home defense and room clearing though. |

I was planning on mounting the 6P led defender also, but I liked it as a seperate flashlight as well. LED doesn't have a long throw? I was under the impression LED was better all around. How do you like your 6P defender? Would you say it's more then enough light for home defense? |

While only 80 lumens, I find the throw is better than either the KL4 or the older scout... I think it is a good light for the money... BTW, the KL4 LED bezel was used by both the M600A ScoutLight and the L4 flashlight. The beam of the X200B was very similar also, as is that of the L2. |

You could stand it on a table and use it for a work light in just about most typical situations if the power goes out. |

The beam spreads out more than the incandescent lights, so it's not as bright. It puts out more light, but it's not as tightly focused. It does light up a room better than the incandescent bulbs though because it is putting out more overall light, and the beam lights up more of an area. |

I you want throw, I recomment the Malkoff M60 in a 6P or a G2 with metal head. I went with the 6P, better heat sinking. My Malkoff is the brightest LED drop-in I have tried, and it has pretty good spill too (lights up rooms in my appartment better than my SF 961 with a MN11) |
