So I just got one of these and mounted it on my GSG-5....the question is, what kind of batteries do they use? The ones in it look like 2 CR123s sealed together...

TIA

That's exactly what they use.  Surefire puts 2 cr123's together with a cardboard washer in between them and shrinkwraps them together.  I have  a few of them set aside for my Surefire 870 forend because they are supposed to be a little more shock resistant.  I use the regular Surefire batteries in my AR light with no issues whatsoever.  If the separate batteries hold up to the (admittedly light) recoil of an AR I think it's a safe bet the .22 will be just fine using them.

SureFire calls it a "SF223AC" shock isolated battery stick.
Given the low cost of SF123A batteries [compared to the pre-SF123A days of Duracell DL123A batteries] there is less need to keep using batteries that are beginning to show signs of crushing/impact damaging as a result of recoil.
If the batteries have been installed in a WeaponLight on a weapon that has been heavily used, or if the batteries have not been changed in a long time of regular weapon use I think it makes sense to inspect the batteries and possibly replace them.
