I hust bought a WFM from a forum member. I like the design and simplicity. I also like the fact it's standard army issue, however I can't find any info on what the army issues as a companion flashlight.

Interested in hand-on experience. Do these mounts stay in service or do you guys swap them out? What flashlight is issued and what flashlight do you suggest I try? I prefer a press for temporary and twist for constant.

Thanks. Dan

Info on the WFM:
The WFM is issued to almost every unit in the US Army.
Its design requires no tools and accepts lights and lasers with 17 mm to 26 mm circumferences. It is a light weight machined aluminum and mounts to most Weaver or Picatinny styled rail system. The WFM™ will accept smaller flashlights such as the Mini-Mag Lite and Streamlight Luxeon 3AA and larger tactical lights such as the Inova T-Series and X Series, Streamlight Scorpion, or Pelican M-6.

Haven't seen one issued by a unit for a while, they used to be more common a couple years ago.

Usually you see them with Surefire G2s or 6Ps, and also Pelican lights.
