I am just wondering what you guys recommend for a mount.  I would like it to be of the off-set variety.  Also, do they even make pressure switch tail-caps for G2s?

I personally like the VLTOR mounts.  Been using them for a while and they really work well.  They do make them offset so checkout their website.  Not sure about the tail cap but calvin at brightflashlights can help you out with the mount and the tail cap.

I'm using a LaRue QD off-set mount and really like it.  It holds the flashlight down low enough that I don't need any wire - I just press the tailcap switch with my thumb.

A cheap offset mount is the Viking Tactics @ $20 and I know CAA make the pressure pad on a cord and a few dealers here sell them. Why do you need both an offset mount AND a cord switch? One defeats the other.

I'm using a Daniel Defense offset flashlight mount with Positive Action Knob (PAK) which don't require any tool to remove it from the rail.

They also have another model with a regular allen mounting fastener which cost less.

Since my G2 is already offset I don't need a pressure switch for it, I'm just using a SF Z49 clickie tailcap which works fine.

+1 Contact Brightflashlights if you have further questions and if he have other types of mounts that you might like.

Your three best options for an offset mount are the Daniel Defense, Viking Tactics & Vltor offerings:

+1 for the VTAC mount. Solid, rugged, and works perfectly when using a forward grip.

It is not removeable like the VLTOR, but, I find that I never remove my flashlight mount anyhow. ;)

$35 for a G2, $20 for the VTAC mount, and another $25 for the tailcap switch. $75 total.

The Viking Tactics website has a combo package of the G2 with their light mount for $50.95.

13 inches of Gorilla tape will securely attach that light. It is easy to apply or remove and costs just a few pennies. It ain't sexy, but it works real well.

LOL

If you are going to attach a handheld light to a rifle I guess this is the best way to go.
(Truth is buy a dedicated weapon light, not a handheld with some cheesy mount.)

What size rings do I need on the LaRue mount for a G2?
