I've put an inexpensive DX drop-in in my 6P, and it works great - too bright, and lots of battery life. There are fewer issues with the cheap drop-ins in the 6P than the G2 because of the metal body. That said, I'd be cautious about using an inexpensive drop-in for a weapon light, as quality control can be spotty. Surefire's P60L is a good bet for the same approximate lumens with much longer battery life and good quality. They haven't released the high output P61L yet, I don't think. |
| Got the SureFire LED replacement for the 6P and gave it to a friend. He absolutely loves it...brighter and better light than a new incandescant lamp he had recently replaced his 10 year old one with after it broke, and tons more battery life too. I was definitely impressed and will get a few more for my own older non LED SureFires as well. |
