These are not the Surefire lights but I saw them tonight in a magazine and wondered if anyone has tested them here. Opinions if any?

I don't know dick about their lights, but their ads are really exciting. HELLFIGHTER LIGHTSABERSTORM! Holy Shit! and these wacky columns of screaming, angry white light protruding from the pictures of their fancy knobby bezels..

Oh boy. Six hundred forty thousand lumens! Nine hojillion candlepower! Eight times as bright as the sun! Cuts off the other guy's arm or your money back.

They may work well, but their propaganda already pegs my BS meter.

I just checked out their website. "Constructed of the world's toughest materials and tested in the battle zones of Baghdad and south-central Los Angeles, the HellFighters have the proven reliability required for lethal environments"

The guy rappelling down the wall looks like the guy from the Extreme Shock ammo ads.

In all honesty, I've never heard of them before this thread.

That's weird, they're from Rochester. That's the 2nd flakey company from rochester, right after those "countersniper" scopes.

Does anyone have experience with either one?

Out of curiousity from this post, I just bought a Hellfighter X-8 and I am VERY disappointed.  I noticed the poor quality as soon as I unscrewed the tailcap to install the batteries (very crude machining).  Then the tailcap pushbutton worked in latching-mode ONE TIME and broke - now it only works in momentary operation.  JUNK!

There is no mention of the country of origin on the device or the packaging but I'll bet a dollar to a dime that it's made in China (the batteries which were included were made in China).

I have Surefire, Pentagon, Inova, and Streamlight Scorpion lights and they are all excellent but this Hellfighter light is pure garbage!

Man I applaud you for actually doing that.  I personally could not do it knowing personally the guy who writes their ad copy...On that basis alone I couldn't do it.

I would rather chip in a few dollars to Al-Qadea that buy anything this guy pimps.
